How many times in your life has someone said to you, “I love you”, and truly meant it?
My childhood was wrought with abuse and dysfunction. I felt invisible, ignored, and alone. I always go back to the old adage, “Actions speak louder than words”, and in my case I learned from an early age what love was not. It has taken a lifetime of healing to believe I am worthy of love, I do count, it wasn’t my fault, and I wasn’t to blame.
Whatever you have gone through, never give up on hope. You are on this earth for a purpose. You have within you the strength, insight, and wisdom to overcome. Know you don’t have to be perfect, you just need to do your best.
