Every week I will be discussing a different topic on grief and loss, suicide, cancer, and spirituality.
The most difficult lesson in life is to love unconditionally. All of us have been rejected, betrayed, and hurt many times over in our life, and yet one commonality we all possess is we are all human. We all make mistakes and yet on an instinctual basis all we crave is acceptance, love, and happiness. The complexity of life is such that while striving to achieve, we, unfortunately, let judgment, remorse, guilt, and doubt factor into the equation. This negativity brings about dissolution and the absence of unity.
How many times in your life have you felt wronged, blaming others for your predicament? Rightly so perhaps, and yet the fact remains there is no resolution, only discord; separation and resentment follow. It would be far easier if we could step into their shoes and understand their viewpoint and behaviors. For too many of us, empathy and compassion cannot be expressed or given.
The essence of humanity is to love one another. Look at the good in people, it doesn’t matter who is right or wrong, for, in the end, all that matters is love and then the understanding will come.
